Resumen

El presente artículo resume la importancia que tienen los productos ecológicos en los distritos urbanos del municipio de Sucre, Chuquisaca, y se centró en el análisis de la dinámica del mercado de productos ecológicos frescos, con énfasis en aquellos producidos bajo enfoques ecológicos, orgánico; para lo cual toma en cuenta a dos grupos: consumidores y productores/comercializadores, en el contexto de una agricultura urbana y periurbana. El objetivo principal del artículo es brindar conocimiento sobre la viabilidad económica de la comercialización de productos ecológicos frescos, considerando su potencial para fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria y fomentar emprendimientos sostenibles basados en alimentos sanos y limpios. Asimismo, busca contribuir al conocimiento ciudadano sobre el consumo responsable y saludable, alineado con las dimensiones de la agroecología. La metodología adoptó un enfoque cualitativo descriptivo que permite captar las percepciones reales de los actores involucrados en el mercado. Además, el articulo aporta evidencia empírica sobre las condiciones del mercado local de productos ecológicos frescos.
