Abstract

Deficiency growth hormone (DHC) is a clinical disorder characterized by insufficient production of growth hormone. The pituitary gland, a small organ located at the base of the skull, this hormone occurs. In children, growth hormone is essential for normal growth indicators present, muscle strength, bone and fat distribution. It also helps control the level of glucose and lipid body. Without enough growth hormone, it is likely to grow slowly child and is shorter than other children of the same age and sex.

Prompted by this information begs the question: What will the serum hormone growth before and after physical exercise in children with apparently healthy 9-12 years, the National Health Fund of stunting the city of Sucre in 2018 ?, being the main objective: to determine serum levels of growth hormone before and after the apparently healthy 9-12 years of the National Health Fund exercise in children with short stature Sucre 2018.

The study with quantitative approach prospective, analytical, longitudinal and quasiexperimental, was performed on serum samples of 21 patients.

In response to the problem posed the following hypothesis: Serum levels of growth hormone after exercise, short stature in children with apparently healthy 9-12 year increase according to the elapsed time of exercise.

The theoretical methods used for this study were: deductive, inductive, analysis, synthesis and statistics. Empirical techniques: observation and interview. The laboratory method for the diagnosis was by chemiluminescence.

In bivariate analysis of the results obtained, there was initially a statistically significant difference with a P value = 0.383; subsequently results were obtained in which there are no statistically significant difference, with a value p = 0.006 and p value= <0.001, calculated by Mann-Whitney U test.

As a final conclusion the hypothesis was confirmed, since it is a fact that the apparently healthy 9-12 years exercise in children with short stature influences the stimulation of GH secretion, since after application and as time went serum GH levels increased. Therefore, from 9.52% to 38.09% increase of the reference value.
