Abstract

Abstract

Objective: To describe the eating habits and lifestyle of the traders in the “Campesino” marketplace. Methods: It has been made a research with descriptive cross-sectional methods with qualitative nature, the population size is made up of a universe of 304 people among traders aged 14 to 80 from different trade unions in the “Campesino” marketplace, applying a survey where sociodemographic variables were registered and a form of eating habits. In total, 170 surveys were obtained. Results: It has been described eating habits, physical activity, sports, substance using, alcohol, nicotine, coca, according to age and sex. The majority of the population surveyed is female, comparing the number of times during the week of consumption of junk food between men and women it was found that more frequently women consume 1 to 3 times per week junk food. There are more young people between 14 and 21 years old who do sports activities than the rest of the ages, there are more subjects in the population between 38 and 45 who consume substances such as alcohol, nicotine and tobacco.
