Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify eating habits in university students of the Universidad Mayor Real Pontificia San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca. The transversal qualitative Methods were used to obtain information, a survey was carried out with a simple random sample of 381 university students. The highest percentages obtained indicate that 36.50% of the students select their food according to its flavor, 37.57% omit breakfast, a percentage of 34.12% prefer fried food, an amount of 36.75% consume food outside the home, 40.49% exceeds food consumption, 45.14% prefer to drink water, 13.12% physical activity is observed in males higher than women, 23.09% of students consider the money factor as a need to improve their eating habits. The eating habits of university students in general are not adequate due to several factors.
