Abstract

The impact of the use of payments by QR codes on the purchasing experience of street merchants in Sucre, first analyzes the challenges that these small merchants face in the adoption of new technologies, such as the lack of familiarity with digital systems, which motivates the need to investigate how the use of these payments can influence their sustainability. Supported by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which allows us to understand the factors that influence the adoption of technologies, ease of use and perceived usefulness are considered key variables in the attitude towards the use of QR payments. The research uses a quantitative methodology, through surveys applied to 382 people between 18 and 50 years old, the results of which show that ease of use significantly influences the adoption of technology, while perceived usefulness does not have a relevant effect.
