Abstract

45% of the world's population (3.5 billion) suffers from oral diseases. In Bolivia, the consumption of crushed coca leaves is associated with oral pathologies, as evidenced by a previous study (Unifranz, 2022) where 100% of consumers presented caries and >90% gingivitis.
