IMPLEMENTATION OF PROTECTION MEASURES FOR CHILDREN LIVING IN HOMES WITH GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN BOLIVIA.
Keywords:
public policies, child protection, gender violenceAbstract
Gender violence in Bolivia severely affects children in abusive homes, causing emotional and psychological trauma. This article analyzes protection measures, femicide statistics (showing alarming orphan rates), and proposes comprehensive solutions. Mixed-methods research (legal review, statistical analysis, surveys) reveals implementation gaps despite advances like Law 348.
Eight key measures are proposed:
1. Immediate reporting (FELCV, emergency line 156)
2. Safe spaces for child communication
3. Continuous physical/psychological protection
4. Access to specialized services
5. Quality legal assistance
6. Non-violence education
7. Strengthening child protection laws
8. Comprehensive support for femicide orphans
Conclusions emphasize:
• Urgent implementation of Orphan Protection Law
• Early education on gender equality
• Collaborative efforts between government, civil society and NGOs
• Need to change violent cultural patterns
