Abstract

This study examines the effects of dollar scarcity in the Bolivian economy, with emphasis on businesses. While the official exchange rate has remained stable due to the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), the parallel market has experienced significant devaluation, increasing the costs of goods and services. This has generated financial instability, affecting both individuals and businesses by raising living costs and reducing purchasing power.
