Abstract

Intestinal parasitism represents a significant global health problem due to its high prevalence and universal distribution. The persistence and increase of parasitic infections are attributed to multiple preventable factors, including poor hygiene habits, inadequate housing conditions (particularly earthen floors and walls), pet ownership, and lack of deworming, among others.
