Abstract

This article is aimed at determining the perception and satisfaction of the users about the quality of Humanized care provided by the Nursing Professional at the Dr. Jaime Sánchez Porcel Gynecological and Neonatal Hospital. It is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The interview was used as a data collection technique and as a questionnaire instrument, the sample of the study was made up of 136 users to whom a survey was applied and 14 Nursing Graduates to whom the observation sheet was applied, which allowed describing the current situation of the care provided by the Nursing staff. Descriptive statistical treatment was applied to the data and the results were obtained that 48.97% of the users indicate that there is low satisfaction with reference to the humanized care provided by the nursing professional, 49.48% indicate that they are not treated in a timely manner, and 46.39 90% expressed dissatisfaction with the care received by the nursing staff. It is concluded that humanized care is given on a regular basis and it is necessary to implement strategies, improvement plans and continuous training in order to generate the awareness of nursing staff to apply good treatment to the patient from a human values based approach.
