CONTROL OF BASIC AND POSTPRANDIAL GLYCEMIA IN PATIENTS WITH MELLITUS DIABETES TYPE 2

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the levels of basal and postprandial glycemia in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, who go to the laboratory of San Miguel Hospital in the municipality of Villa Serrano Chuquisaca - Bolivia 2018. It is a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional study with 88 patients, who were taken the blood sample and their data were recorded on a record sheet. The data collection was in the months of August to October of the year 2018. Among the results it was obtained that of 142 patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, the majority are female, they are between the age of 51 to 70 years and the Most basal glucose control is performed. It is concluded that the glycemic control of the patients who came to their controls are 62% higher in basal glucose and 38% in the postprandial glucose values.
