Abstract

Geohelminthiasis is highly endemic in South America and is considered a neglected disease. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) recommends mass deworming with benzimidazoles as a control strategy, which prompted the Bolivian Ministry of Health in 2017 to carry out such deworming in children aged 6 to 12 years.
