Abstract

Acinetobacter baumanni is a nosocomial pathogen responsible for severe infections in hospitalized patients,
many of the hospital isolates of this bacterium are also multiresistant to different antibiotics, with the ability to
form biofilms, a factor that influences the survival and permanence of this bacterium.in Bolivia, the resistance
figures of this microorganism against carbapenem antibiotics have increased enormously in recent years.
