The general objective of the investigation was determine the prevalence of pregnancy Ectopic at the San Pedro Claver Hospital, also, the sensitivity and specificity of abdominal ultrasonography in comparison with transvaginal ultrasonography in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy. This study was observational, population screening, descriptive and prevalence, in patients who attended the San Pedro Hospital Ultrasound Service Claver on suspicion of ectopic pregnancy, from October 1, 2014 to July 31, 2015. The sensitivity and specificity of the screening test that was the ultrasound transabdominal versus Gold Standart that it was transvaginal ultrasound, classifying as positive and negative for pregnancy ectopic, then, the predictive value was calculated positive and negative predictive value. The Transabdominal ultrasonography had a76% sensitivity and specificity 92% in the diagnosis of pregnancy ectopic, a positive predictive value of 90.47%, and a negative predictive value of 79.31%. The prevalence of pregnancy Ectopic diagnosed by ultrasonography Transvaginal was 50%. The probability of be ≥ 30 years old, pelvic disease inflammatory and intrauterine device, they were a risk factor for pregnancy ectopic, instead the history of surgery Tubal was an indifferent factor.
