Abstract

The gastrosquisis is a fault of the abdominal wall that determines the exhibition of the entrails to the amniotic liquid which is very irritating, causing edema and engrosamiento of the intestinal wall and inclusive expansion of the intestine.

One presents the case of a newborn child of 37 weeks of gestation, without prenatal diagnosis of gastrosquisis, who happens during the birth, is stated gone out on the outside of great part of the small intestine and stomach, is controlled surgically (the abdomen is closed). Nevertheless, it evolves unfavorably and expires some days after the intervention.
