Abstract

Abstract

The Vital Loe Aloe vera processing plant generates significant volumes of waste, particularly peels. Therefore, the objective of this study is to develop a moisturizing cream using Aloe vera peels, formulated according to market requirements. A 2³ factorial experimental design was carried out using Design Expert 13 software, working with three independent variables: temperature (20 to 30 °C), pH (6.5–7.5), and homogenization time (5 to 10 minutes). The raw material underwent a dehydration process at 45 °C, followed by grinding and then sieving. The resulting prototype showed a homogeneous texture, skin-compatible pH, and good moisturizing capacity. Sensory tests conducted with women showed high product acceptance. Market analysis demonstrated price competitiveness. It is concluded that the cosmetic formulation is viable, sustainable, and has high acceptance potential.
