Abstract

  We report the case of a female patient 55 years old, attended with symptoms of hepatotoxicity by absinthe, initially was not easy to make the diagnosis because they had to discard many causes of jaundice, the variety of liver damage it caused by this herb was acute cholestatic hepatitis. This article reviews the toxicity of herbal products, the properties possessed by the alien, and the massive use of traditional medicine not covered by the health authorities.
