Abstract

In the last smallpox appearance in Sucre – Bolivia, is carried out a historical description about smallpox, thus it makes a good use of anatomical waxes preparations and pathological existences in respective museum of Sucre medical institute which obtained from Paris – France, where is recognized the current illnesses and existence ones in the past. The clinical identities of smallpox type are described. The files from Sucre deaths are revised, certifying that smallpox epidemics have existed in this city in the past. It stands out of medical institute contribution in the in the fluid’s vaccine preparation with smallpox.

Form 1900, so much departmental, national and international. Finally Benjamin Ostria’s doctoral thesis is revised where it describes the case presented in the “Santa Barbara” hospital in 1912. In 1980 the health organization of the world (H.O.M.) it declares smallpox’s eradicated in the planet. It’s noticed that it exists a latent danger to reactivate because it is manipulated bilaterally or to be used as weapon in the bio-terrorism.
