Abstract

This article analyzed how artificial intelligence (AI) can assist in managerial decision-making by integrating the contributions of emotional intelligence (EI). Through a qualitative approach, based on interviews with managers and executives of companies in the city of Sucre, Bolivia, perceptions about the use of these tools in organizational contexts were explored.

The results showed that, while AI provides speed, accuracy, and technical support for decision-making, EI allows for contextualizing these decisions, promoting ethical judgment, and strengthening the human dimension of leadership. It was concluded that the integration of AI and EI generates more balanced, empathetic, and sustainable decisions. Barriers to AI adoption were also identified, such as resistance to change and lack of training. The study suggests recommendations for the effective and ethical implementation of these technologies in contemporary business management.
