This research analyzes the influence of strategic management on the performance of nursing professionals at the "Leo Schwarz" Comprehensive Health Center, located in the muni- cipality of Villa Vaca Guzmán -Muyupampa, Chuquisaca Department. The study was conducted using a descriptive approach with a mixed methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Data was collected through a structured survey administered to eleven nursing professio- nals and semi-structured interviews with the Director of the health center and the Head of the Nursing Department.
The results show that strategic management has an interme- diate level of implementation, characterized by planning perceived as mostly adequate, leadership with limitations in its positive impact, and a functional organization that requires strengthening. Furthermore, the study identified that the influence of strategic management on the professional perfor- mance of nursing staff is perceived as inconsistent, although there is broad consensus that its improvement would signifi- cantly contribute to optimizing job performance and the quality of healthcare.
Triangulation of the data obtained through the survey and interviews confirmed that strengthening strategic planning, participatory leadership, and human talent management are key factors for improving the performance of nursing profes- sionals. In conclusion, the research demonstrates that effecti- ve strategic management significantly impacts professional performance and represents an opportunity to strengthen health services at the municipal level in the context of Muyu- pampa, Chuquisaca.
