Abstract

A research study was conducted considering the need for nursing staff to develop knowledge in order to strengthen the management of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Therefore, the research aims to define the knowledge and management of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in nursing staff of the Student University Social Security, February 2025. This is a descriptive, quantitative, and non-experimental study. A questionnaire was conducted to obtain information on knowledge and management of cardiopulmonary respiration in nursing staff of the Student University Social Security. A non-probabilistic sample was used, selecting a total of 10 nursing graduates from the University Social Security to whom the questionnaire was administered. The results show that 80% of the nursing staff are between 25 and 34 years old, and 70% have 5 to 10 years of professional experience. 60% of nursing staff have good knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and 60% of nursing staff demonstrate good practices in CPR management.
