NURSING STAFF KNOWLEDGE ON CARE FOR PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE BRAIN INJURY

Objective: To determine the knowledge of nursing staff on comprehensive care for patients with multiple head injuries in the emergency service of San Pedro Claver Hospital ", February to March 2025. The population will consist of 20 nursing graduates who work in the Emergency Service of San Pedro Claver Hospital ", February to March 2025. Methodology: The study is descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative. A questionnaire was used as an instrument and the results were statistically processed in frequencies and percentages. 67% corresponds to the age range of 31 to 35 years, 93% of the nursing staff reached a bachelor's level, 100% of the nursing staff works in the emergency service from 0 to 5 years, 100% of the nursing staff did not receive training on comprehensive care for patients with multiple injuries. Overall, out of 6 questions, 3 were answered correctly, which represents 50% who had good knowledge, and the remaining 50% answered incorrectly, indicating a lack of knowledge. Conclusions: The level of knowledge possessed by nurses who care for patients with traumatic brain injury in the emergency department of San Pedro Claver Hospital is average.
