The FACTORS THAT PREDISPOSE PSYCHOEMOTIONAL PROBLEMS IN ADULTS OVER 60 YEARS OF AGE, LYCOMA APRIL - JULY 2024

The objective of this research is to determine the factors that predispose to psychoemotional problems in older adults, Licoma, methodology: positivist paradigm, qualitative - quantitative approach, scope of the research; explanatory, type of research; observational, prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical. The universe composed of 50 older adults, type of research sample is non-probabilistic for convenience. Results: According to sociodemographic characteristics 30% between 71-75 years, 52% male, 63% dedicated to agriculture, 54% have more than 4 children, 34% currently live with their wife (or) and children, 42% do not depend on anyone, 78% are sick, 28% have low back pain due to work in farms. According to the Likert scale, in psychoemotional problems, 36% sometimes have trouble sleeping, 34% report that physical pain significantly prevents them from doing what they need to do, 56% have palpitations or tremors when worried, 54% have little money to cover their needs, 36% admit that they have never eaten food with worry, 46% have had alterations in their food consumption, and 56% never experienced negative feelings. Conclusions Older adults in Guerrero have high percentages of physical, emotional, and social problems, which give rise to a poor perspective of their health and life.
