Abstract

Anemia continues to be a public health problem affecting the most vulnerable groups. Worldwide, 40% of children under 5 years of age suffer from anemia, and our reality is no exception. The study made it possible to identify the factors associated with the prevalence of anemia in children under five years of age. A quantitative approach was used, which allowed us to expand and deepen this problem. We worked with 41 children under 5 years of age with anemia at the Belén Health Center. A questionnaire was applied to the infants' mothers, which allowed us to identify various factors that contribute to the prevalence of anemia.
