Resumen

Blockchain presents a significant opportunity for the digital transformation of public administration in Bolivia’s Judiciary. This study examines how the technology can enhance transpa- rency by streamlining administrative processes, improve efficiency by reducing bureaucracy, and strengthen informa- tion security. The objectives include the digitalization of docu- ment management, process automation through smart contracts, and enhancement of data integrity. The focus lies in the practical implementation of blockchain to establish immu- table and publicly accessible records, fostering increased trust in the Judiciary. The methodology involves analyzing specific use cases and identifying regulatory and technological challen- ges. Scientifically defined criteria are provided to assess the relevance of blockchain implementation, along with strategies for integrating it with existing systems and staff training to mitigate resistance to change. The findings reveal that, despite notable challenges, the potential benefits of adopting block- chain are substantial, encompassing greater transparency, cost efficiency, and improved accountability, all of which contribu- te to modernizing and strengthening Bolivia’s Judiciary.
